The Unicorn Pub is situated at the front of the building with a view onto the Market Square.
We are big on smiling at the Unicorn, the Licensee Carol, pictured right is
often the first smiling face to greet you when you arrive. The bar opens at
midday until 11pm except Sunday when it is 10:30. The bar is very popular,
attracting local people from all walks of life. Visitors find the local people
very friendly and helpful and we are still learning much about the history of
Deddington from these conversations. We have a quiz machine but no fruit
machine. During the summer months the "Aunt Sally" teams play in the local
league in the pub garden on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, which is a good spectator sport.
After they finish their match they might let you have a go!
Apart from guide dogs we hope that you will understand that we do not allow dogs in the pub or restaurant but on a lead in the garden.
We keep three real ales, Hook Norton which is an Oxfordshire local ale from the village of the same name and Youngs Special and Charles Wells Bombardier. We also have Bombardier Smoothflow, Carlsberg, Stella, Bulmers & Strongbow Cider and Guiness plus all the usual soft drinks, spirits and a choice of seven wines by the glass. We take great pains in our pipe cleaning and cellar procedure to ensure that our beer is in tip top condition
